Peanut & Garlic Chutney

Peanut and Garlic Chutney is an absolutely delicious chutney that can be served with your favourite Dosa / Idli or even with rice and daal. It's bag full of flavours and can add so much ooomph! to any meal.



Preparation: 5 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

For the chutney
  • Peanuts - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato - 1, deseeded, chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch washed
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Green chilies - 3
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cumin powder / Jeera
  • Water
For the garnish
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Dry red chilies - 2
  • Hing / asfoetida - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - a handful
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Preparation:
  • In a pan, dry roast garlic, coriander leaves and peanuts. Dry roasting the ingredients bring out the flavours of the ingredients.
  • In a grinder, add the ingredients, tomates and water and blend into a smooth paste.

  • In another pan, heat oil and add the dry red chilies, mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves. Once the curry leaves and mustard seeds crackle remove from flame and add to the chutney
